The Fund for Reparations NOW! (FFRN!) is an intergenerational community of white people working in solidarity with Black leaders to bring about reparations NOW. We are dedicated to making reparative fund transfers to Black-led reparations projects, modeling what reparations can look like once they are formally granted from the federal government. The act of resource redistribution to Community affirms our collective commitment to dismantling systemic inequities rooted in slavery, its lasting aftermath, and in advancing repair.
FFRN!’s reparations work is grounded in the National African American Reparations Commission 10-point Reparations Plan. Our Five Pillars of Repair distilled from the 10-Point Plan, has the same moral foundation and social change focus, and affirms that reparations is not an act of charity: It is justice realized. The five inter-related pillars – Economic Empowerment, Cultural Legacy & Innovation, Transformative Education, Healing & Wellness, Ecological Restoration & Land Justice - translate reparations into areas of action that demonstrate what true repair looks like on the ground in practice.
White reparationists can join us in making reparative justice transfers through FFRN!’s online reparations platform by signing a Statement of Apology, making their reparatory justice contribution(s) and accessing resources aimed at building a lifelong anti-racist practice.
The ultimate goal of this work is to see formal reparations for African Americans from the U.S. government within our lifetimes. In the meantime, there is the Fund for Reparations NOW!.
